DIY Upcycled Cardboard Bird Feeder

Summer is here! This is an easy and awesome project to do in all your free time that practices reusing materials like cardboard! I found these fun and festive bird seeds at Petco and thought they'd make the perfect rainbow bird feeder!

Materials needed:

cardboard

scissors

butter knife

peanut butter

bird seed (colorful sunflower yummies purchased at Petco)

pen

string

Instructions:

1. Draw a rainbow shape on a piece of cardboard (approx. 4 inches).

2. Using scissors and adult supervision or assistance, cut along the line.

3. After separating the seeds by color, use a butter knife to spread the peanut butter on the cardboard one line at a time. Place and press in colored seeds onto the peanut butter. Continue with each different colored seeds.

4. Tape or glue a piece of string on the back to hang from a tree branch.

Now you have a colorful rainbow bird feeder that was created out of something you would have normally thrown away! Tie it onto a tree and watch birds feast on your upcycled creation!
