Ceramic Wind Chimes || $75

Join us at Friends & Faire and learn how to make your own ceramic windchime with Selwyn Ceramics! This is a 2-part class: During week 1,  you will use clay to make various fish and other shapes for your wind chimes. That same night, we will glaze the pieces. A 2-week break is needed to give the clay time to dry and be fired. You will then return to assemble your wind chime in Part 2 of the workshop. All materials will be provided but you are also welcome to bring additional items like sea glass, shells, beads,  and driftwood. We encourage you to be as creative as you like!

Instructor bio: Getting messy and playing with mud has always been part of Jennifer Selwyn's DNA, and at age 5 she knew she wanted to be an artist. It was not a surprise to anyone that Jen went to college to be an artist-teacher, and college is where she first fell in love with clay. Years later, Jennifer was reintroduced to pottery, and about 17 years ago she started selling her work at shows and galleries. Selwyn's work is inspired by her surroundings and she likes to say "Inspired by Nature, handmade with Aloha".  Jennifer still loves teaching and meeting new people, so she is excited to team up with F&F to do some fun workshops.

All materials are included and the class will be held at Friends & Faire at 1980 Main st. #4 Wailuku, HI 96793 (Behind Native Intelligence- free parking available).  BYO beer or wine to sip on and enjoy while you get creative! (21 and over).  Ages 10 and up are welcome to register.
