Ulana Lau Niu – Hanging Basket Workshop

Come join us to learn Ulana Lau Niu—the traditional Hawaiian art of weaving coconut fronds! In this hands-on, cultural workshop, you’ll create your very own hanging basket using natural coconut leaves. Immerse yourself in the world of the niu (coconut) as we explore its cultural significance, uses, and care tips for your finished piece.
This class is a fun and meaningful way to reconnect with a traditional skill that has been passed down for generations—one you can share and help preserve for the future. Whether you’re a crafty beginner or a seasoned weaver, all are welcome!
