Kapala Weekend Workshop with Mea Hulalilali
Join Oʻahu-based artists Lali and Keanuenue of Mea Hulalilali for an immersive two-day introduction to the traditional Hawaiian art of kapala (block printing).
Choose one day or experience the full weekend!
Saturday – Kapala Carving
Learn how to design and hand carve your own kapala printing block. You'll be introduced to carving techniques, proper tool use, and the cultural significance of kapala. All carving tools are provided for use during class and yours to take home.
