About The Event
Create your very own unique Kokedama, the Japanese "moss ball." By the end of the workshop, you will have the knowledge and confidence needed to care for your very own living art creation.
Instructor's Bio: Aloha, I am Rona the owner of For the Love of Plants Hawaii, LLC. I'm a mother to three children, four grandchildren. two fur babies, and about 100+ plant babies. Through the years, I've had some wonderful memories including plants. One of those was helping my grandmother by picking bananas from the yard to make banana bread. As I got older, I began to understand the vital relationship between humans and nature not just the whole carbon dioxide oxygen aspect but the nurturing and love that grows between two living beings. I really love plants and I want to share that love of plants with everyone.
For the Love of Plants Hawaii is a very new (3/2022), very small, family-owned, local business. We are firm believers in sustainability and love to re-love pre-loved items. We try our best to always source pre-loved items before buying anything new. We are also firm believers in being unique therefore, all of our living art creations are one-of-a-kind. We do not replicate any of our designs or living art pieces. In addition to living art (indoor and outdoor plant arrangements, succulent arrangements, Kodedama), we offer interior and exterior landscape design, living art workshops, plant sitting, custom planter boxes/plant crates, and specialty plant acquisition.
All materials are included and class will be held at Friends & Faire at 1980 Main st. #4 Wailuku, HI 96793 (Behind Native Intelligence- free parking available). BYO beer or wine to sip on and enjoy while you get creative! (21 and over)
