Clean out all those poke and pupu containers that you've been saving up in your kitchen cabinet and create these cool sun-catchers with the keiki! Decorate your window and see how the light shines through your beautiful drawings!
Materials needed:
plastic lids
Sharpie pens (these work the best)
templates to trace
yarn
hole punch or drill
scissors
Instructions:
Print out templates or use images from coloring books if you'd like to trace instead of free-hand drawings.
Place lid onto template and trace lines with a black Sharpie or create an outline with black ink to later color in.
Flip the lid over and color inside the lines.
Using either a hole punch or a drill, create a hole on the top of the lid and tie a piece of string to hang.
Mount above your window to let the light shine through your new sun-catcher!
We hope you have as much fun as we did making this upcycled plastic lid suncatcher! We hope this activity will brighten not only your room but your days at home! Please share and tag @friendsandfaire on Instagram! We would love to see your one of a kind creations!
P.S. You can also add three holes at the bottom and attach more string and beads if you want to embellish your artwork!
